Looking for a different place to watch the sunset? Oka Point delivers sweeping ocean views from the cliffs, but first, you have to find it. Here’s where to park, what to look for, and what to know before you go.
Once you reach the lookout, you’ll quickly understand why Oka Point is worth seeking out. It provides the most stunning view of the ocean and beautiful colors during sunset. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down to take in the view and stay a little longer than you initially planned.

How to get there:
We parked along the side of the road near the entrance, just past Oka Towers. The street is in a residential area, so be mindful of where you park and avoid blocking driveways or entrances.

The entrance to Oka Point is marked by large rocks that lead to a narrow path. If you see the rock with a blue arrow, you’re at the right spot!

What to expect:
At the end of the path is the overlook. The lookout sits along a cliff line, and parts of the balcony are broken, so please watch your steps and be cautious near the edge.

There is a winding staircase leading down to the lower cliffs, where you can get a closer view of the coastline. Be careful, as parts of the concrete platforms have broken off. The final set of steps is also very steep, so take your time. There’s no need to rush!

Along with its ocean views, Oka Point is also a popular fishing spot for locals. Whether you’re stopping by for the sunset or exploring the cliffs, take your time and leave the area as you find it.
Before you head out, a few things will make the trek a little easier:
- Bring water! Walking back up can be tiring.
- Wear comfy shoes.
- Watch your steps, especially around damaged areas.
- Plan around daylight. You’ll want good visibility for the walk back.
